<p>Uganda has a very young population of about 35 million young people, making them the majority of the country. But many of them grow up without real opportunities to engage with practical democratic and ethical values like participation, accountability, fairness, and responsible decision-making.</p>

<p>As they move into leadership roles in schools, communities, and other spaces, this gap often shows in how decisions are made and how leadership is practiced.</p>

<p>At AfriEthics Initiative, we focus on working with young people at this stage of their lives&mdash;when values and habits are still being shaped. We help them understand and apply democratic and ethical principles in real, everyday situations they can relate to.</p>

<p>What makes our approach different is that it is youth-led. We don&rsquo;t just talk to young people; we give them space to lead, speak, and shape the learning themselves. They are not passive participants. They bring their own experiences into the discussions, reflect on real challenges they face, and work together to find practical ways of responding to them. This makes the learning more real, more engaging, and more meaningful for them.</p>

<p>This program encourages young people to become responsible, ethical leaders. Through student clubs, participants practice leadership, organize community initiatives, and use innovative tools to collaborate and develop critical decision-making skills.</p>
