AfriEthics Initiative Ltd is a duly registered and licensed not for profit organisation in Uganda working to promote ethical leadership among the youth and institutions in Uganda with its official Registration/Permit No.: INDR180257493NB.
Our perspective is that systems and leadership are deeply interdependent, and neither can effectively work without the other , and that is why our work brings together two things that cannot be separated; strengthening institutions and investing in young people.
We work with institutions to strengthen ethics & integrity and at the same time, we invest in young people starting from an early age because values, character, and ethical habits are shaped and reinforced over time. The choices and behaviours we nurture in young people today can influence the leaders they become and the institutions they shape tomorrow.
At AfriEthics Initiative, we address corruption from a preventive and foundational perspective, and our approach is to disrupt the normalisation and cycle of unethical practices that are highly manifsted in Corruption through practical , experiential and ethical learning model. Through youth development, civic education, sports, and institutional strengthening, we create opportunities for people especially young people to experience, question, discuss, and practise ethical decision-making in real-life situations.
For us, ethics is not just something to be taught. It is something we begin developing early, practise every day, and carry into our leadership, workplaces, institutions, and communities.
We are also exploring the responsible use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) to make ethics education more accessible, strengthen ethical decision-making, and help us better understand the social and behavioural impact of our work.
We hold ourselves to the same standards we promote. Integrity begins with us. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to fraud, corruption, and unethical conduct and are committed to transparency, accountability, good governance, and responsible leadership in everything we do.
Our aspiration is simple: ethical people, stronger institutions, and a generation equipped from an early age to challenge unethical practices and build a more trustworthy, just, and accountable Uganda.
JOIN US
Through partnerships, grants and individual contributions, we can reach more young people, expand practical ethics programmes, strengthen institutions, generate evidence and develop innovative approaches that can be adapted across Uganda and Africa.
Every contribution helps us create opportunities for young people to learn, practise and champion integrity.
Together, we can help build an Africa where ethical leadership is not an aspiration, but a lived reality
